Amendments to SOLAS regulation III/20.11.2 on operational readiness, maintenance and inspections have been adopted with a new sub-paragraph 4 on the operational test of free-fall lifeboats. More specifically, a simulated launch is accepted when conducting drills of free-fall lifeboats.
